COACH KIERAN BOYLE praised the Donegal Schoolboys Under-13s following their Foyle Cup final win last night.
Joel Gorman and Rory Pyper bagged the goals as Donegal defeated Oxford United 2-0 in Buncrana.
The Donegal side, managed by Gerry Crossan, had reached the final of the Inter-League Cup this season, but lost in the final to DDSL.
However, they took the Foyle Cup by storm and left with the silverware last night.
“It’s great,” Boyle told Donegal Sport Hub.
[adrotate group=”38″]“It was a tight game. We sat in and they were hard to break down. At this age you have to be patient and keep the ball down. We felt when we broke them down that we’d win it.
“It’s nice to win a competition and it’ll be great in ten years’ time for them to look back and say they won the Foyle Cup.
“We’re lucky first to get a chance to partake in a competition like this and it’s great for the players to get a chance to show themselves on a stage like this.
