Dillon’s club team Donegal Town Nets BC, where he is captain, finished second in the Shannonside Area League and won the Top Four trophy. Coach McHugh said: “Last year Dillon was scoring big numbers for the college team, actually he was top scorer in all Divisions of the league, and was our main threat, but this season his game has matured and while he is still getting significant baskets it’s his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates that has been the real highlight of his game”.
[adrotate group=”46″]IT Sligo Captain, Finbarr Murphy congratulated Dillon on behalf of the team and said: “This award is well deserved, Dillon has been great for us all season, his performances make us all play better. He has been really difficult to contain, for other teams, which frees up more time and space for the rest of us. For me personally, it’s how he has conducted himself in training and off the court that marks him out as a true star.”
Abbey Vocational School, Donegal Town and Coláiste Cholmcille, Ballyshannon received School of the Year Awards.
