FRANCIE MARTIN has parted ways with Naomh Colmcille following a disappointing start to the 2016 campaign.
At a meeting with club officials on Tuesday night, it was agreed to part company.
Glenfin native Martin was into his third year at the helm of the Newtowncunningham-based outfit.
Last year, Naomh Colmcille went on a magical run to the Intermediate Football Championship final, but lost heavily, 4-17 to 0-4, against Bundoran.
[adrotate group=”68″]Naomh Colmcille have won just one of their eight games in Division 3 so far this year and are currently propping up that Division, two points behind Urris, but with a game in hand.
Their hopes of Championship advancement suffered a blow when Naomh Ultan won 1-13 to 0-11 at Pairc Colmcille in May.
Martin has previously managed his native Glenfin and Glenswilly, whom he took to Division 1 from Division 4. In December 2013, he was appointed to succeed James Cullen as Naomh Colmcille manager.
This Saturday evening, Naomh Colmcille host Urris in a massive relegation four-pointer in Newtown.
