RORY GALLAGHER INSISTS that Donegal are still a force to be reckoned with.
Donegal moved into an Ulster semi-final after Odhrán Mac Niallais’ brace of goals secured a 2-12 to 0-11 win over Fermanagh in Ballybofey this afternoon.
Donegal overcame the sending off of Neil McGee to score what was, ultimately, a comfortable win.

That was once they escaped the nervous period late in the first half when McGee was dismissed and Mark Anthony McGinley saved a penalty from Sean Quigley to keep Donegal ahead.
“We showed great maturity and control in the second half,” former Fermanagh forward Gallagher told Donegal Sport Hub.
“We feel that we have a really good team and we feel that we can be a match for anyone.

“It was a great second-half display. We started very well and were five up, but we missed a couple of chances and took wrong options. We were the better team by a good bit in the first half.”
Gallagher gave first Championship starts to McGinley and Eoin McHugh and saw his team win by seven in the end.
Mac Niallais netted in the 13th minute and, ten minutes into the second half, the Gaoth Dobhair man scored his second.

Gallagher said: “The second goal was badly needed. We have very good players. The two goals were outstanding.
“The workrate was savage. If you take out the 10 or 12 minute period before half time we were very good. We were way the better team and were very comfortable in the end.”
