The game started very slowly with both sides packing their defences and it took nine minutes for the first score of the game a point from Bundoran’s Shane Moohan.
A pair of Christy Keaney frees followed by a long range effort from Paul Brennan had the home side four up on 18 minutes.
An excellent Conor Tinney kickout saw Termon in for what looked a certain goal but somehow Michael McEniff made a brilliant last ditch tackle to avert the danger.

Almost immediately Tommy Hourihane made the visitors pay when he bundled the ball to the net when Keaney’s effort came back off the crossbar. Termon finally registered their first score on 23 mins from midfielder Caolan Mellett.
After another powerhouse run from Brennan which resulted in a long ball into the Termon goalmouth Hourihane had Tinney picking the ball out of his net again when he reacted quickest to shoot past the Termon keeper on 25 minutes.
The final 10 minutes of the half belonged to the men in black and amber and especially half forward Alan Russell who hit four quality points all from play.Other scores from Johnny Boyle and a reply from Termon’s Kevin McDaid left the halftime score 2-9 to 0-2.

Bundoran who started the game short several key players including Jamie Brennan and Shane McGowan were given a reality check 30 seconds into the second half when a brilliant Termon move sliced the home defence apart for Cealan McDaid to finish calmly to the net.
Another McDaid point soon after had the visitors believing that a comeback was a possibility. A well taken Keaney 45-metre free gave Bundoran their opening score of the half. Both sides then exchanged scores with Kevin Mc Daid and Paul Brennan pointing.
A lung busting run from veteran Anthony Mc Grenra saw him pointing well but again Darragh Hoey cancelled it out for the home side. Then on 45 minutes Kevin McMenamin finished a lightening quick move by Termon to the Bundoran net leaving seven points between the sides.

Termons hopes of a comeback were dealt a severe blow when referee Connie Doherty sent substitute Declan O’Donnell to the line on 48 minutes.
Now playing with the numerical advantage it didn’t take Bundoran long to make their advantage count when Bundoran youngster Niall Carr showed fine composure to finish superbly to the Termon net.
Seconds later Carr was on the scoresheet again with a well taken point under severe Termon pressure. Termon fought hard in the remaining minutes and Johnny McCafferty found the range on 58 minutes.

Substitute Timmy Govorov notched a well taken score for the home team before a Daire McDaid free reduced the margin to 10 points as the game entered injury time. Russell finished the home side’s scoring with another quality strike and another McDaid point was Termon’s final score of the day.
