FANAD NATIVE PADDY MCCONIGLEY captained Kilkenny against London in British Junior Championship this afternoon at Nowlan Park.
The former Donegal defender lined out at right wing-back but his side were beaten 4-6 to 0-9 in the curtain-raiser for the Laois v Dublin Leinster SFC tie.

When Brian McIver guided Donegal to the National Football League Division One title in 2007, where they overcame Mayo 0-13 to 0-10 at Croke Park, McConigley was right wing-back in a defence that included Karl Lacey and Neil McGee.
