CRAIG BREEN HAS delivered the disappointing news that he is unable to compete in next month’s 2016 Joule Donegal International Rally.
Breen, a former Pugeot Rally Academy driver who was the 2012 Super 2000 World Rally champion, is competing now for the Citroën World Rally Team.
The Donegal International Rally is sandwiched between two WRC events, the Rally d’Italia Sardegna and Rally Poland.
Breen has competed in Donegal previously in a Mark 2 Escort and his entry in a the WRC Citroën was seen as a coup for organisers.
However, Breen has taken to Twitter this morning to explain that he can’t participate in Donegal this year.
Sorry to tell everyone that we will not be in Donegal unfortunately, due to other commitments during the same weekend 1/3

Was really looking forward to it, but my WRC program must take precedence, but I am sure we will return to the hills at some point! 2/3
