CRANFORD AC had eight of young athletes travel to Finn Valley to compete in the Donegal Children’s Games.
First up was our U/9 boys with Diarmuid Gallagher and Michael Moore.

Diarmuid had a good run in the 300m and a fine jump in his long jump. Michael had a great jump in the long jump winning a silver and also taking bronze in the 60m sprint. Well done boys keep up the good work.
[adrotate group=”47″]Our U/10 boys were in action next with Caolan McFadden and Ryan Mcmenamin. Caolan was in top form and there was no stopping him with gold in the 60m and 500m and 2nd in the long jump. Ryan had a good jump in the long jump jumping over 3m and had a fine performance in his 500m.

Caolan Curran and Aidan McFadden were our boys U/11. Both these boys put in a fine performance in the 600m and were part of the relay team along with Ryan McMenamim and Caolan McFadden who came home in 2nd place after an exciting finish.
[adrotate group=”60″]Last up but by no means least were our girls U/11 Clodagh Neely and Blathnaid Gallagher. These two girls ran a very good 600m finishing well up the field and in the Turbo javelin Clodagh threw 9m 82 coming away with a silver medal.
