RAPHOE HOCKEY CLUB members will climb Errigal next Saturday to raise money for the Irish Hockey Team.
The Irish team are set to compete at this year’s Olympic Games in Rio.
It is the first time that an Irish hockey team has made the Olympics and they are the first Irish sports team since 1948 to achieve Olympic qualification.

Hockey Ireland has estimated that it needs to raise €225,000 in order to prepare the team properly. The fundraising drive is detailed here – https://wwwpledgesports.org/projects/obsessed/
Now, Raphoe will lend their assistance.
Club members will scale all 751 metres of Errigal next Saturday, May 28.

Members are meeting at Errigal at 2pm and the climb will be followed by a fun mixed game at the Royal and Prior School Grounds.
The cost is €10 for adults and €5 for under 18’s and there will be refreshments afterwards in The Rafters.
