MONA MCSHARRY finished in second place in her 200m breaststroke heat at the European Championships in the London Olympics Aquatic Centre.
The 15-year-old, who sits her Junior Certificate next month, was content enough by the finish yesterday and her time of two minutes 31.77 seconds, which made for a 26th place overall.
[adrotate group=”48″]“I’m feeling happy, the 100 didn’t go to plan, I was annoyed with that, I’m happy I was able to push past it and get a good time today,” the Grange, Co Sligo, native told Swim Ireland.
Earlier this month, the Marlins Swimming Club Ballyshannon member had an excellent time at the Irish National Swimming Championships at the National Aquatic Centre.
