FOUR DONEGAL SCHOOLS took part in SPAR FAI Primary School 5s programme at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin yesterday afternoon.
Third place in the A Schools Cup went to Scoil An Choimín, Glenfin (pictured above); St Patrick’s BNS, Lurgybrack came third in the Boys C Cup, while St. Oran’s NS, Cockhil were fourth in the Girls B Cup and Scoil Íosagáín, Buncrana, were third in the Girls C Cup.

SCOIL AN CHOIMÍN GLENFIN 1-1 CARN NS GURTEEN
Dylan Walsh had Carn in front with an early goal but Scoil An Choimín recovered in fine style to equalise through Luke Mag Fhloinn.
SCOIL CHOILMCILLE MOUNT HANOVER 5- 3 SCOIL AN CHOIMÍN GLENFIN
Alan Bowden was the star of the show with four of the goals to give Scoil Choilmcille all three points and put them into an unbeatable position to claim the ‘A’ Cup honours with a game still to play. Conor McQuail Leech added the fifth Choilmcille’s goal while Luke Mag Fhloinn, Daniel O’Meartrhaire and Ross O’Brollachain were the Scoil An Choimin scorers.

Girls ‘B’ Schools Cup:
ORAN’S NS COCKHILL 1-1 CLAREGALWAY NS GALWAY
Emma Slevin had Claregalway in front and they looked well in control but a brilliant goal from Aoife Gallanagh gave St. Oran’s a deserved draw.
COLMAN’S NS MUCKLAGH 1-0 ORAN’S NS COCKHILL
Emma Glavin scored the only goal in the opening half to give St Colman’s all three points in a tightly contested affair. St Oran’s pressed strongly for an equalisre but were denied by some brilliant saves from St Colman’s ‘keeper Ciara Glackin.
DROMTRASNA NS ABBEYFEALE 3-0 ORAN’S NS COCKHILL
Dromtrasna NS came out on top of the Girls ‘B’ division with this 3-0 win over St. Oran’s. Kate Scannell grabbed a brace and Chloe Brosnan added the third for the Abbeyfeale side to put them a point ahead of second placed Claregalway NS.

St. Patrick’s Galway came from behind to claim the win with goals from Edric Opoku and Joshua Keeya after Nathan Plumb had given Lurgybrack St. Patrick’s an early lead.

A hat-trick from Dunboyne skipper Roland Banya and a brace from Tommy Lonergan saw off the stiff challenge of St. Patrick’s Lurgybrack. Adam Murphy and David Boyle were the St. Partrick’s scorers.

A Jodie Loughrey goal for Scoil Iosagain settled this game between two evenly matched sides. Scoil Nioclais missed a golden opportunity to go ahead but failed to convert a penalty kick.
SCOIL IOSAGAIN BUNCRANA 1-3 FIACC’S GRAINGECULLEN
St. Fiacc’s win guarantees them the Girls ‘C’ Cup honours with a game still to play. Scoil Iosagain went ahead through a Jodie Loughrey early goal but the Carlow side responded in fine style to power in front with two goals from Emma Walker and one from Kelly O’Neill to claim all three points.
SCOIL IOSAGAIN BUNCRANA 1-3 SCOIL CHAITRIONA RENMORE
Emilia Koziel hit two goals and Ella Gilmore added a third to give Scoil Chaitriona a comfortable 3-1 win over Scoil Iosagain and runners up spot behind winners St. Fiacc’s in Girls ‘C’ Cup. While Kerri Langley was on target for the Buncrana School.
