BARRY MOLLOY WAS in the blue corner for tonight’s north-west derby when he was so familiar at being in the red corner for so long.
However, whilst in the colours of Finn Harps tonight, Molloy played his part in a 2-2 draw against his former employers and hometown club Derry City.
[adrotate group=”50″]“It was strange, it’s always strange coming here as proposition but once you cross that white line you get into match mode then,” he said.
Harps went 1-0 up through a goal from Ryan Curran but then were on the back foot for long spells and two goals in the final seven minutes – through Josh Daniels and Rory Patterson – looked to have won it. However, Sean Houston made it 2-2 in injury time.
[adrotate group=”38″]“Derry were stretching us and were hurting us. We had Ciaran Gallagher to thank for a few saves. When Josh scored Derry had the momentum and then Rory scored too but fair play to the lads – a great header from Sean to draw it. The boys said last year they wanted to get promoted to play in these sort of games.”
