ST MICHAEL’S CAME good in the second half to see off Dungloe in the AllSportStore.com All-County Football League Division 1 in Dunfanaghy this evening.
St Michael’s 1-12 Dungloe 2-2
The home side were out of sorts and behind on the scoreboard in the first half, going in behind at the break, 1-2 to 1-1. However, Colm McFadden kicked four points from play and a free in the second half to see his team home.
Danny Rodgers opened with a free and then the Dungloe goalkeeper saved well from Andrew Kelly. Tony Boyle’s side went 1-1 to 0-0 up when Ryan Greene scored a penalty in the 15th minute.
[adrotate group=”46″]St Michael’s finally got off the mark a minute later when Michael McGinley pointed, only for Dungloe to restore their four-point cushion when Rodgers popped over a 45.
But on 22 minutes Ryan Langan scored something of an unconventional goal – but a splendid one nonetheless when he slid to volley a Colm McFadden centre.

St Michael’s know their way around the elements at the Bridge and in the second half were much more proficient up front.
They scored the first eight points of part two with McFadden putting over three, Christy Toye and Michael Langan two apiece and then Michael Cannon also finding his range.
Dungloe’s only score of the second half was a Ryan Greene goal on 50 minutes, when he fisted into the St Michael’s net after Adrian Sweeney had struck the crossbar.
However, St Michael’s made sure of the points when McFadden scored two late scores and Andrew Kelly finished it off in the last minute.
