RHYS IRWIN CONTINUED his assault on the British Superteen UK Championship at Snetherton this weekend with an unprecedented double win with four podium finishes out of four races.
The 14-year-old from Kilmacrennan beamed from the podium after every single race he contested.
“I really can’t believe I have become so competitive so quickly, to be on the podium at all was my dream season but to get two wins in the same weekend along with a really close second and a third,” he said.
“I’m really so happy to have been lapping at 0.02 sec of the long standing lap record. All the hard work and the sacrifices I’m making are so worth it.’
His older brother Caolán Irwin (pictured above) also had a weekend to remember with three podium finishes in the Supertwin Championship and the 450 Aprilia UK Challenge.

and running with different tyres makes.”
The brothers paid tribute to Trevor Scott of Scott Racing Motorbikes Ltd for his unwavering belief in them to be part of his team and supplying them with great bikes and the team engineers their father Ivan and Garry Fleming for continued hard work on bike set up.
