PATIENCE IS A virtue.
Donegal had been beaten nine times on the bounce this season in the Allianz NHL Division 2 and its play-offs as well as in round one of the Nicky Rackard against Armagh.

So there was a sense of relief from team manager Ardal McDermott today as his team overcame Fermanagh in Round 2B of the Nicky Rackard Cup at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny.
[adrotate group=”61″]It was a much improved performance after the break by 14-man Donegal, who had Justin McGhee sent off just before the break. Goals from Sean McVeigh, Kevin Campbell and Ciaran Mathewson sealed the 3-15 to 3-11 success in thew sunshine.
“All year we struggled to get results having put in performances but today we got the result and no performance,” McDermott said. “It was a long time coming.
“The boys showed good character. We went into the seven-point lead but we showed character then.”
McDermott spoke to Alan Foley afterwards …
