TORI PENA IS coming into form ahead of a busy few months.
The Finn Valley Athletic Club member produced a pole vault seasonal best with 4.52 metres at Long Beach, California, over the weekend, as well as almost clearing 4.57 metres. Her Irish record currently stands at 4.60 metres.
Pena will take part in the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam in July and then the Olympic Games in Rio in August.
As well as Pena, there are currently three more Donegal athletes headed for Rio with rower Sinead Jennings, 800m runner Mark English and walker Brendan Boyce, who competes in Rome next month in the World Race Walking Championships – a team managed by Patsy McGonagle of Finn Valley.
