ARDAL MCDERMOTT IS SET to start his tenure as the Donegal senior hurling manager with an away game against Mayo on St Valentine’s Day.
McDermott – pictured above with Donegal Chairman Sean Dunnion – has been appointed as the successor to Ray Durack and they are down for a February 14th clash with Mayo in Division 2B of the National Hurling League.
Donegal’s hurlers are pencilled in for further away games against Meath and Wicklow with just two games at home – against Armagh and Down.
These fixtures are provisional and have to be ratified.
