THE 2016 Hughes Insurance Foyle Cup swung into action yesterday with the usual huge interest for Donegal players and teams.
Kildrum Tigers are the sole Donegal representatives in the Under-19 competition and the St Johnston side drew 1-1 with Roe Rovers at St Canice’s Park.
Anthony Bogle drew Kildrum level after Roe hit the front and neither side, despite chances at both ends, could find a winner.
Kildrum now face Institute this evening at The Riverside Stadium.
Derry City, back-boned by a strong Donegal connection, hammered Ballinamallard 5-0 at Lisnagelvin.

Sion showed their prowess with clinical goals to punish Bonagee, Chloe McGlade netting twice and Kendra McMullan hitting the other. Shannon McBride tucked home a penalty early in the second half for Bonagee.
