McMonagle spoke to Charlie Collins of Donegal Sport Hub and shared his coaching story, success to date and future plans for golf in Donegal, where he is coaching adults and children across Dunfanaghy GC, Cruit Island GC, Falcarragh GC and Rosapenna GC.
“It’s a good opportunity for me to push forward, especially with the juniors in Donegal,” McMonagle said.
Murphy, whose Donegal side take on Dublin in the Allianz League Division 1 semi-final at Croke Park on Sunday, was also in attendance and he too spoke about how he enjoys the occasional round with his inter-county teammates.
“I’ve been getting the odd couple of lessons with Seamus and it’s a good move for Letterkenny Golf Club,” Murphy said. “He keeps things very simple and that’s a help to anyone.”
