NIALL MCLAUGHLIN AND Fearghal Harkin are glad their Clonmany Shamrocks side have the points on the board in the Jackie Crossan Inishowen League Premier Division.
Sunday’s 2-1 win over Buncrana Hearts – where Clonmany goalkeeper Paddy Harkin saved a late Gary Duffy penalty – means Clonmany are 10 points clear of second-placed Glengad United.
However, Clonmany have one game to play – against Glengad, who have five to play so things might well run to a last-day finale.
“We’d rather the points on the board than go looking for them,” said McLaughlin. “It’ll probably go down to the last day.”
