DECLAN AND BRIAN BOYLE laid down their marker early to post an impressive victory in the Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally over the weekend.
The Lettermacaward cousins in the Ford Fiesta WRC were in front from the end of the first stage to post a winning margin in the end of 44.1 seconds in the event, which is the second round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship.
Tipperary/Cork pairing Roy White and James O’Brien in the Ford Fiesta WRC were second overall with Peadar Hurson and Monaghan’s Damien Connolly (Subaru WRC) from Co Down in third.
Boyle won Stage 1 by eight seconds at Knights Mountain and was 19.9 seconds in front at the Tralee service park and continued from there with relentlessness to win.
