TWO DONEGAL MEN helped Oisin’s CLG Manchester to victory in the final of the Senior Pennine League at Old Bedians in Didsbury yesterday.
Thomas McMenamin from Red Hugh’s was full-back and PJ Magee of Aodh Ruadh was wing-forward in the win over Manchester rivals St Peter’s on a scoreline of 4-11 to 1-5.
Two Ciaran Harper penalties as well strikes from PJ Magee and captain Gerry McCaughey came in an opening 20 minutes as Oisin’s were 4-7 to 0-1 up at half-time. Peter’s made some inroads in the second half but it was Oisin’s who were comfortable winners in the end.
