RAPHOE HOCKEY CLUB’S Alexander Tinney played last weekend in a three-test series against Scotland for the Ireland Under-18s.
The Manorcunningham native, a student at the Royal and Prior in Raphoe, is one of the emerging stars at Raphoe HC and is continuing his international exploits.
Last weekend, Ireland defeated Scotland 3-1 and 3-0 with Scotland winning the other game 3-1.
The Tests were played at Ulster University, Jordanstown.
Last year, Tinney won the Inter-provincials with Ulster, featuring alongside Raphoe team-mates Luke Witherow and Ben Wallace.
Tinny and Wallace previously featured for the Ireland Under-16s in the Volvo Six Nations Tournament being held at the BHV Push club in Brena, Netherlands, last summer.
