“I was just getting nice and comfortable in the stand and I heard my name being called out,” Lacey said. “It’s good to get back. I’ve another few weeks of hard work ahead of me.
“Myself, Rory and the coaches sat down and drew out a plan. We said we’d leave it off four or five weeks at the start of the year. In the last few weeks I’ve been back out on the pitch. You want to be out on the pitch with the lads.”
“We’ve Dublin next week. We owe it to ourselves to go out and try and get the two points. We’re not safe yet but eight points might be enough to get us into the semi-final. There’s a lot of young fellas there now and if we can give them any tips then that’s good. Donegal football is in a good place right now.”
