EDDIE HARKIN, the Chairman of the Northern Minor Board, said his body is aiming to continue to promote itself within the GAA.

The board held its first official launch this evening at Arena 7 in Letterkenny, a well attended event from the 24 clubs under its jurisdiction with plenty of club colours on show.

“We’re a small part of a large organisation,” Harkin said. “We’re fighting our corner to get that exposure the publicity, the coaching within in the county. All lot of publicity goes to the senior clubs and the county teams and that’s good but there’s a lot more we can do to promote our own. We have to find other avenues and that’s what we;ll continue to try to do.”
