FINN HARPS left-back Ciaran Coll has sustained what is believed to be a serious knee injury.
The St Johnston man has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to have an x-ray after going down awkwardly late in tonight’s 3-0 defeat by Dundalk at Oriel Park.
“Ciaran suffered an injury to his knee without anyone bring around him, which is not a good sign,” the Finn Harps manager, Ollie Horgan, told Donegal Sport Hub.
“It’s certainy worrying, especially when no-one was around him when it happened. That’s a bad indicator.
“Ciaran is one of our most consistent, fit and better players. A difficult task has got even more difficult.”
Coll was making his 175th Harps tonight as Harps lost to the reigning League champions, but was carried off on a stretcher.
The former Hearts youth player had previously sat out the 2010 season having injured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his left knee during a game against Limerick FC at the end of 2009.
