LETTERKENNY GOLF CLUB, in association with Failte Ireland, were delighted with the huge response they received at the recent Golf Expo held in the Europa Hotel, Belfast, organised by Failte Ireland.
Following it’s two recent prestigious awards from both Ireland Golfing Guide – best hidden gem golf course – and also from the Letterkenny Tidy Town All-Ireland winners – environmental award for dedication to wildfowl – Letterkenny Golf Club Captain Ivan Fuery stated that he was delighted at the amount of interest shown by people about the club and, indeed, Donegal golf as a whole.
“I was amazed at the knowledge that people had of our club winning these awards and of how interested they were about acquiring more information on the club itself, the facilities, accommodation available and Letterkenny town,” he said.

Fuery also recorded that, in the three hour period that the show was held on Wednesday night last, that over 200 people had visited the club stand where they could avail of the newly designed club pamphlets, open competitions schedule, society golf, golf magazines and the club centenary book.
The club’s donated prizes on the night, offered in association with Dillon’s Hotel and Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny, was chosen to promote the event on Downtown Radio/Cool Fm, one prize of which was won by Mr. Mark Madden from Magherafelt, Co Derry and Tracey Dickson, Lisburn.
All in all, a very rewarding time ahead in the future of Letterkenny Golf Club.
