ARDAL MCDERMOTT, the Donegal senior hurling manager, is keeping the sunny side out despite a second defeat in two games today.
Paddy Hannigan’s goal was cancelled out by Conor Corvan and a second Armagh goal, by Dillon McKenna, put paid to Donegal’s hopes, but manager McDermott is remaining upbeat.
Donegal have still to welcome back the likes of Danny Cullen, Kevin Campbell, Jamesie Donnelly and Enda McDermott.
“The players are starting to believe in themselves,” McDermott said.
“We have a weakened side and have a lot of young players coming into the team.
“We know it’s a big hill for us, but the first half display was very good and we should have been four or five up.
“We didn’t take our opportunities and let them back into it. We were a wee bit naïve in the second half.”
