YOU HAVE to go all the way back to 1983 for the last time the Donegal League tasted success in the Oscar Traynor Cup.
Progression in the competition suffered in recent years, but this Sunday Brian Dorrian’s team face North East Football League in a quarter-final at The Moss (kick-off 1pm).
“The home draw is massively important to us,” Dorrian (pictured above by Stephen Doherty) told Donegal Sport Hub.
“We’ll be ready to go. North East will be fairly handy, but there are no poor teams left in it any more.
“We have a good idea about them. They’ll play good expansive foootball and will be physical when they need to be.
“But it’s not about them. It’s about us getting our game to plan and getting our own heads right.”
Dorrian is without Rathmullan Celtic’s Eoin Sheridan, but otherwise has a full panel from which to select his team.
