MEMBERS OF THE Three Rivers Shotokan Club Lifford traveled to Belfast to take part in the 25th North South championships under the JKS Ireland banner.
This event seen clubs from Scotland, England and all over Ireland descend on the Royal Belfast Academical Institution to take part in this popular event. With both individual and team events on the day it was all go from the start.
Great excitement was generated during the individual matches and true to form the members of Three Rivers continued to bring home the medals with Natasha Doherty winning Gold and both Emma Dolan and Ciarán Crawford lifting bronze in their events.
Next up was the team event which seen Natasha,Emma and Jamie-Lee Simpson win gold in their group and Ciarán as part of an u14 group with Jack Donaghey and Ruben Dunbar from Strabane Shotokan fight off stiff opposition to also take first place on the podium in their section.
Three Rivers Shotokan club continue to train every Monday and Wednesday night at the resource center Lifford from 6.30-7-30pm for beginners, new members are always welcome.
