DONEGAL MANAGER RORY GALLAGHER wasn’t getting too excited despite a ten-point win over Cork in Ballyshannon that fired his team to the top of Division 1.
Martin O’Reilly and Odhrán Mac Niallais netted the goals as Donegal won 2-14 to 1-7 to make it two wins from two at the start of the Allianz Legaue.
“It’s always good to in, but it’s very important not to get too up or too down over the course of the League,” Gallagher said.
“It’s all about building and moving forward and today was a positive day.”
A brief spell in the first half aside, when Donal Óg Hodnett’s goal gave Cork faint hope, Donegal were totally dominant and it was, as Gallagher said, ‘pleasing the way we played’.
