TYRONE MCCULLAGH made it three-from-three as a professional tonight.In what was his Irish debut, McCullagh – a former Illies Golden Gloves boxer – overcame Antons Zacests at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.
McCullagh thrilled the big home crowd as he took just 104 seconds of the first round to put the bout to bed.
Southpaw McCullagh was 2-0 before tonight.
The 25-year-old scored a second round stoppage of Hungarian Bence Sipos at York Hall in November after defeating Tamas Laska, another Hungarian, on his professional debut last July.
McCullagh twice had Zacests to the canvas.
A powerful body shot was followed by a right uppercut to the Latvian’s head and Zacests was deemed unable to continue by the referee.
