ABBEY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL and Bailieboro Community School played out a thrilling Markey Cup semi-final on Friday night at Irvinestown’s Bawnacre Centre.
The match finished 0-13 to 0-13 after extra-time, which means they’ll have to do it all over again.
“After extra-time we’d have taken a draw having been one point down,” manager Pauric O’Donnell said. “We weren’t cute enough to see it out in normal time. Our lads are out on their feet there. We owned the ball in the third quarter. Look, we’ll have to learn for the next day. But they showed pride and that’s a good thing to see. I’m happy enough with the result.”
O’Donnell spoke to Charlie Collins afterwards …
