MOVILLE COMMUNITY COLLEGE were out of luck in their Bank of Ireland FAIS Senior Girls National Cup semi-final this afternoon.
Moville Community College 0-3 Presentation Secondary School, Kilkenny
The Inishowen side went down to a well-rounded Presentation Secondary School from Kilkenny on the astroturf at the Dundalk Sports Centre, Muirhevnamor.
The side managed by Margaret Mulhall were 2-0 down at half-time as Jenny O’Keeffe and Ally O’Keeffe were on the mark, although were unlucky not to score towards the end of the first half when Kate McClenaghan got onto the end of a pass from Nicole McDermott, only for the Kilkenny goalkeeper to save.
Moville – 7-1 winners over neighbours Scoil Mhuire Buncrana in the Ulster final – were without the services of international Roma McLaughlin, who had an ankle injury.
The Leinster champions added a third through Ciara Delaney in the second half and although Moville battled well and goalkeeper Cody Anderson and left-back Niamh McLaughlin performed well on the day, it will be Presentation School who will play in the final.
