KILCAR WILL PLAY against Magheracloone on Saturday in the Kickhams Creggan Ulster Under-21 Tournament, but will do so without three of their top players.
Ryan McHugh, Eoin McHugh and Stephen McBrearty will be unavailable to Kilcar becuase of county commitments.
The trio are set to play for the Donegal senior team in a challenge game on Saturday evening and will be unable to line out against Magheracloone.
While there were whispers that Kilcar wouldn’t travel, their manager, John McNulty, has confirmed that his side will fulfill the fixture.
“We’re going to go,” he said.
“We feel that it’s important for the club to go. As a club we want to do the right thing.”
Kilcar won the Donegal Under-21 final when they defeated St Eunan’s 0-13 to 1-08 earlier this month, but their chances of advancement in Ulster has been dealt a body blow with the news that they play without the services of the McHughs and McBrearty.
McNulty said: “It’s obviously a massive blow. The team is built around them. The fact that they’re on the senior county squad shows their quality.”
