The 40th DONEGAL SPORTS STAR AWARDS nominees in Cycling for the 2015 season are three determent young ladies.
The trio – Ciara Doogan, Amanda Gallagher and Shauna McFadden – are focused on a pro cycling career in the future who remain in education and managing to balance the work load from school and though training schedule that the sport demands of them.
Ciara Doogan (pictured above) from Gortahork is last year’s recipient of this prize and is now a second year Junior. She is an all-rounder on the cycling scene who has virtually traveled the globe representing Ireland from track racing throughout Europe and competing at the UCI World Road Race Championships held in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
The 15-year-old got called up again to the Cycling Ireland Talent Team will be cycling in the Under-16’s youth division both here and abroad for 2016.
Shauna McFadden (pictured above) hails from Letterkenny and a student at Loreto Collage.
