Gweedore United 3-2 Illistrin United
This game played in Carrickboyle saw Gweedore United collect all the three points after a good game of football.
Gweedore did all the early pressing and had numerous chances through Ultan Boyle, Dean McColgan and Jamie McGee but the Ilistrin keeper did well on each occasion.
On 30 minutes they were made to pay for missed chances when Illistrin striker Eathan McLaughlin found room in the box and finished well past Jamie Hunter in the Gweedore goals.
Gweedore were back on level terms two minutes later when they won a freekick 30 yards out and Mark McFadden stepped up and curled into the top corner giving the keeper no chance. Gweedore took the lead just before half time when Denis Coll crossed from the right to Ultan Boyle who finished well from yards.
Gweedore got their third goal on 80 minutes after a scramble in the box and Noel Sweeney scored from close range, Illistrin got a goal back in injury time through an own goal following a good save from Jamie Hunter but his save deflected of a gweedore defender and into the net
Good team effort from Both sides with Mark McFadden and Shaun McFadden excelling for the home side.
