RAPHOE HOCKEY CLUB are looking for your help!
The Royal & Prior based club are set to host four matches tomorrow – weather permitting.
The men’s first team are home to Mossley at 2:30pm, with the seconds due to play Cookstown afterwards at 4pm. The ladies are also in action – in their case on the astroturf at 1pm with the ladies seconds welcoming Larne at 2:30pm on the grit.
However, last night’s snow has left the fixtures in a precarious position so the club have appealed for the local community to help in a bid to beat the weather.
Help Required. With the snow/sleet that fell last night and the continue of cold conditions, we are seeking help for the morning to try and get the pitch clear, so it’s playable for tomorrow’s fixtures.
We’re hoping the sun shows up in the morning and creates a thaw, and along with some manual labour and yard brushes, we may be able to get the pitch cleared.
If you’re free tomororow morning around 9/9.30am, please call to the pitch and give us a hand….. and don’t forget the yard brush!
Pray for sun to arrive in the morning, or this plan won’t work!
