LORETO COMMUNITY SCHOOL MILFORD manager Padraig Curley admitted he felt for Abbey Vocational School following this afternoon’s FAI Under-17 Ulster Schools’ League final.
Loreto ran out 3-2 winners in Milford this afternoon, with Ryan Flood’s goal ultimately proving decisive and Curley was delighted with the win, which added to the school’s dramatic 4-3 win over St Eunan’s in the seniors on Monday.
“I have to hand it to Abbey,” Curley said. “There has to be huge credit to Abbey. I think they deserved this game to at least go into extra-time. But we’ll take the win and sometimes you need a bit of luck. Abbey can take solace this is the league and they have the cup. They were very unfortunate.”
