DONEGAL GAA will unveil a new jersey before the Allianz League Division 1 campaign at the end of this month.
Leading members of the Donegal County Board are in talks with potential sponsors at present with the possibility that the new kits could have a new sponsor emblazoned on them.
Under new GAA guidelines, counties are permitted to have a sponsor’s logo on the front of the jersey and also above the number on the back.
“We want to maximise our return from sponsorship,” the Donegal County Board Chairman, Sean Dunnion, told Donegal Sport Hub.
Given the sensitive nature of the negotiations and the figures involved, details have been kept under wraps, with the County Executive set to discuss the matter at its next meeting tonight.
It seems likely that Donegal Creameries will not be the main sponsor for 2016, however the company is set to have some involvment in the year ahead.
Donegal lined out against Down yesterday in the Dr McKenna Cup wearing sponsor-less shirts, but Dunnion has confirmed that his committee aims to have a deal struck in time for the Allianz League.

Donegal Creameries returned as the main sponsor in 2010 having had a spell as sponsor from 1996-1999 inclusive. Previously, the Donegal Creameries name was on the shirts in 1992 until Magee Tailored took over for the All-Ireland semi-final of that year.
