SWILLY ROVERS ARE ENJOYING being on the national stage again as the club’s Under-17s moved into the last 16 of the FAI Under-17 Cup thanks to a 5-1 win over Riverstown FC today.
Tony McNamee’s team pulled away in the second half to dump the Cork side out of the competition.
A brace from Ryan Flood and goals by Kieran Connor, Paul Bradley and Mikey Sweeney sealed the deal.

“It’s brilliant to go through in the National Cup. It’s a great experience for the boys,” McNamee told Donegal Sport Hub.
Many of this Swilly squad were on the Under-15 side that reached the semi-finals of the Evans Cup (under-15) in 2014 only to lose heavily, 9-1, against St Kevins Boys.
