ST EUNAN’S MANAGER Noel Keaveney was delighted to see his side get over the line against Aodh Ruadh in the County Under-21A championship this afternoon.
The Letterkenny side were pegged back to just two points late in the contest, following a penalty by David McGurrin on 48 minutes. However, Keaveney’s side steadied themselves and Barry McGeehin knocked home a 57th minute goal to seal a 1-11 to 1-6 win and set-up a final against Kilcar on Wednesday.
“The Aodh Ruadh goal unsettled us but we managed to get it under control again,” Keaveney (pictured above with Sean Hume) said afterwards. “We were comfortable for long period but obviously Ballyshannon were going to have their patch.”
