SEAMUS COLEMAN and his Everton team-mates helped to bring some Christmas cheer to patients at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital this week.
The Killybegs man was part of a full Everton crew that popped in to hand out presents at the new £250 million facility at West Derby, Liverpool.
Alder Hey cares for over 270,000 children each year and has forged strong links with Everton, who also run daily activities at the state-of-the-art hospital through the club’s charity, Everton in the Community.
Manager Roberto Martinez and his players gave out a raft of Everton gifts, including cuddly toys, blankets, cushions, colouring sets and jigsaws, and passed on their best wishes to patients and their families, many of whom will be in the hospital for Christmas.
