THE FINN HARPS SCHOOLS PROGRAMME are finishing off a busy 2015.
“We are already looking forward already to 2016,” said Paddy Harte, Chairman of the Finn Harps Schools Programme.
“We are delighted with the recent developments in our coaching programme launched in the Villa Rose recently. Having visited over 100 schools since October of this year, we now have 18 qualified coaches with certification in Disability Coaching, First Aid Inclusion and Sports Management who are also qualified to deliver our Eat Right Play Programme.
“We are also delighted to have additional female coaches involved in the Programme going forward. We would especially like to thank the Sports Council, Donegal Sports Partnership and our main sponsors Brendan Kelly of Kelly’s Toyota for their valuable support.”
This year The Finn Harps Schools Programme partnered with Brendan Kelly of Kelly’s Toyota, Port Rd., Letterkenny and speaking on behalf of Kelly’s Toyota, Brendan Kelly said: “We are delighted to be associated with this programme, not only from a sponsors perspective but to see first hand the commitment given by the coaches, the committee and the schools to benefit all of the schools and school children participating in this programme across the entire county of Donegal is amazing.
Next year, 2016 will see the continuation of the programme in all schools registered and the calendar of events will include the Kelly’s Toyota Fran Fields Cup amongst others.
The Finn Harps Schools Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the schools, the teachers and the pupils who have participated to date. They would also like to extend their thanks to the coaches who have worked very hard in training and in delivering this unique programme throughout the county.
