CLONMEL COMMERCIALS ARE through to face Ballyboden St Enda’s in the AIB All-Ireland Club Senior Football semi-final on February 13.
The Tipperary side overcame London winners Tir Chonaill Gaels by 2-12 to 0-9 in this afternoon’s quarter-final.
Commercials manager Charlie McGeever, who is a native of Derryconnor and clubman of Cloughaneely, said goals and his side’s work-rate proved key on the day. He looked forward to the meeting against the Dublin and Leinster champions Ballyboden St Enda’s.
“I was at the Ballyboden match against Portlaoise,” former Finn Harps manager McGeever said. “We’ve a lot of work to get up to that level. Any semblance of us of being a black horse is gone.”
