SIX DONEGAL STUDENTS were part of the St Patrick’s College Drumcondra panel that won the Independent.ie HE GAA Senior Football League Division 2 finals.
Carndonagh’s Feargal Doherty, Niall Friel of Gaoth Dobhair and Ryan Gillespie from Naomh Columba (pictured above) study at the teaching college, who last night won at Heywood, Ballinakill, Co Laois, against NUI Galway on a 4-9 to 0-12 scoreline.
Caolan Loughrey (Four Masters), Aodhán McGinley (Kilcar) and Michael Roarty (Gaoth Dobhair) are also involved, while Kilcar’s Matthew McClean was playing for the Galway side.
St Patrick’s College reached the final having defeated Letterkenny Institute of Technology last week in Monaghan.
