RYAN MCHUGH HAS welcomed the decision of Donegal’s experienced players to return en bloc for 2016.
Donegal manager Rory Gallagher recently confirmed that none of his players had retired from the inter-county scene.
Although Paul Durcan recently re-located to Dubai, there remains hope that the Donegal town man will return to the county colours next summer.
Neil McGee, Eamon McGee, Karl Lacey, Neil Gallagher, Colm McFadden and Christy Toye have all committed to the county for 2016.
“It’s great to hear that all the boys are all coming back,” McHugh told Donegal Sport Hub.
“They’ve been great servants to Donegal and have a lot more to give. Spots on the team will be competitive and that’s a good sign for Donegal football.”
He said: “We’re looking forward to getting out and playing with Donegal again. It’s hard to beat a winning mentality, no matter what you’re playing in, if it’s challenge game, McKenna Cup, League of Championship.”
