AN INJURY-TIME goal from Michael Quinlivan sealed a dramatic Munster SFC final win for Clonmel Commercials this afternoon.
The Tipperary champions are managed by Charlie McGeever, who is a native of Derryconnor, Gortahork.
They overcame a fancied Nemo Rangers side from Cork 1-7 to 0-9 in Mallow.
The Cloughaneely clubman also managed Finn Harps and brought them to the 1999 FAI Cup final, only to lose to Bray Wanderers in a second replay.
McGeever this year guided Tipperary to the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship final, where they lost to Kerry at Croke Park.
In the All-Ireland quarter-final in two weeks time, McGeever will take his side to Ruislip for a clash with Tír Chonaill Gaels, who lifted the London SFC today.
Gaels are armed with Adrian Hanlon from Dungloe, Ashley Carr of Kilcar and Gaeil Fhánada’s Seamus ‘Nanny’ Friel, as well as having Brian McBrearty from St Eunan’s as substitute goalkeeper.
