GLENCAR CELTIC ENJOYED their trip to the seaside as they hammered Drumbar FC at Flagpole Park in Rathmullan as Conor Gibbons bagged a hat-trick.

The home side (pictured above before last Saturday’s home fixture against Drumkeen United) started the Old Orchard Division One fixture with real menace and went 1-0 up through Gibbons, who finished inside 10 minutes.
That started the rout and Liam Doherty added the second before Gibbons notched his second, so the side managed by John ‘Junior’ Russell and Garvan Grieve went in comfortably 3-0 up at half-time.
The conditions stopped much of the flowing football but Glencar were still in a hungry mood and hardworking Doherty got his second of the day this seemed to spur on the hosts
Gibbons finished off his hat-trick with a screamer from 25 yards but the goal of the game was saved for last with Grieve’s fine strike low to the corner.
It was the only Saturday fixture in the Donegal League that survive the weather amid a spate of postponements.
