JIM MCGUINNESS’S ‘UNTIL VICTORY ALWAYS – A MEMOIR’ was last night named as Sports Book of the Year at the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards 2015.
The memoir, which was ghost-written by Irish Times chief sportswriter Keith Duggan from Ballyshannon, chronicles McGuinness’s four years as Donegal senior team manager between 2011 and 2014, as well as giving some fascinating insight into the life of the Glenties native.
During McGuinness’s tenure Donegal won the 2012 All-Ireland championship as well as three Ulster SFC titles.
